Mesothelioma treatments: Conventional or Alternative Treatments?

The treatment of mesothelioma is usually palliative in nature because the conventional interventions of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation have not been found to extend life.

Studies have been done on the effectiveness of immune enhancers such as interferon and cytokine, with varying results ranging up to doubling the life span from 12 months to 24 months and more.

One study indicates that some patients are able to benefit greatly with intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemotherapy (IPHC), enjoying 8 years of quality life experience to date. IPHC threats the cancer by circulating a heated chemotherapy drug (Mitomicin-C) through the abdominal cavity for 2 hours after the tumor is surgically removed. As the name ‘intreperitoneal’ implies, this procedure is applied to mesothelioma of the abdominal cavity.

Similar treatment of mesothelioma of the pleura, the chest cavity, is called Thoracoscopic Intrepleural Perfusion Hyperthermic Chemotherapy (TIPHC). The chemotherapy agent used in this study was Cisplatin. This is new art and much remains to be accomplished before these therapies are standard practice.

Alternative mesothelioma cancer treatments
There are many anecdotal evidences of the effective application of ‘alternative’ treatments to mesothelioma . Some have lived for years in good health after being told that they had as little as 2 months to live. Some of the therapies are dendritic cell therapy, heat therapy and more.

Conventional medical practice is confined to those protocols that are ‘scientific’ in that they are derived from research and not from the natural resources that abound. This website has as its sole purpose, the promulgation of information that is outside the consideration of conventional medical practice, but has show itself to be safe, inexpensive and effective.

These treatments will not ever be tested because they are outside the purview of ‘science’ and are also outside the jurisdiction of the FDA to evaluate for the treatment of any disease. This leaves it up to to the patient to recognize and apply these reasonable considerations that have delivered thousands from all kinds of cancer.

About Bob Davis

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Bob Davis and I am a retired engineer who did some work in various medical projects, but not as a doctor or other medical practitioner. In April 1996, I was admitted to the hospital as an outpatient for an x-ray. It was found that I had massive cancer. I had a mass in my abdomen a foot wide and several inches thick. Further, I had several masses in my chest, some of them “the size of soft balls”. It was also determined that I had cancer in my bone marrow. I asked my doctor what we were going to do. He said, “Try……….something else” What did I do? For three weeks I went on a juice fast and colon cleanse program. I am eager to share information on cancer treatment and general health issues. I do occasionally speak at meetings on several related subjects. My favorite subject is ENZYMES!!!
